Meet Your Mentor:
Zaakirah Muhammad is a 20-something year old photographer who has been photographing for ten years.
To summarize her amazing photography story:
•First picked up a Polaroid camera at age six
•Received first digital camera around age 11
•Received first Nikon D3000 DSLR around age 15

Your Instructor
Zaakirah has been photographing since the age of six, when her mother introduced her to a Kodak Polaroid camera. Photography was a hobby growing up while on cross country travels, but after pursuing commercial photography at McFatter Technical High School, it became a passion. She then studied Professional Photography at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University in Washington, DC. She has been professionally photographing for ten years. She has photographed musical greats at events such as CBCF, Music Midtown, Made in America, and A3C. She shines a positive light on the dark music industry. Zaakirah's love for music, her authentic personality with unique storytelling abilities are what makes her a great instructor. Her goal is to inspire you to step outside of your comfort zone.
